Honesty is Alex Parks' second album, co-written with producers Greg Wells, Alan Branch, John Reynolds and Peter-John Vettese, as well as songwriters Judie Tzuke, Karen Poole and Marcella Detroit. It was released on October 24, 2005. The lead single Looking for Water was released prior to the album as an exclusively internet-download release, and failed to make the charts on downloads alone. There were hopes that a second single, the title track Honesty, released on 23 January 2006, would revive interest in the album. Her first album, Introduction, gave us a glipse of the direction she might take and where that started, this continues. Some criticisms have been levelled at the album already, namely that it's too down-tempo, too angsty and that the vocals aren't strong enough. As far as the tempo goes, there's plenty of upbeat songs, such as Honesty, Truth or Dare and the secret track - Tail and All which is a real gem. Similarly, not all the songs are sad.
